While sometimes presentations on an overhead projector are a necessary for company gatherings, there are other ways to encourage team building at corporate events. During the summer months, administrators have greater options for both indoor and outdoor activities.
Company parties don’t have to be in the ballroom. Instead, there can be many different activities to promote team building with a chance to have fun.
A carnival theme allows companies to bring small carnival games to play during the corporate events. As with any carnival, tickets can be given out at each game area to be traded in for prizes later. Prizes can be traditional carnival fare, or they can be geared for the office such as a casual day pass or lunch with the boss.
Of course, just because the event takes place outside doesn’t mean that it has to be rugged. An elegant daytime garden party can allow teammates to relax and celebrate a job well done. Having a formal dinner or corporate fundraiser beneath the stars is another great way to concentrate on team building or raise money for a corporate sponsored charity.
International Themed Corporate Events
Creating a theme based on the food is a great way to do something different at the next corporate party. Unlike activity based themes, these parties can be held either indoors or outside.
Tex-Mex is a popular cuisine that makes for a great theme for a corporate party. With tacos, burritos, and enchiladas, attendees are certain to find something they will enjoy. There are many vegetarian-style dishes to serve, as well, such as cheese-stuffed chili Rellenos and quesadillas.
For those who want to mix it up a little, an around-the-world theme allows a sampling of many different types of cuisine. To make it even more festive, international décor, activities, and costumes can be added.
There is no need for company picnics to be dull. Livening them up with fun activities and unique food can make the next gathering a successful event for all.
